M1N Privacy Policy

M1N is a workout timer provided by Maxwell Hunter. This policy explains how the iPhone app, Apple Watch app, and workout-sharing website handle information. You do not need a M1N account to use the app.

Workouts, history, and iCloud

Your saved workouts, routines, playlists, workout history, notes, weekly plan, and settings are stored on your device. When iCloud sync is enabled and available, M1N stores supported information in your private iCloud database so it can sync and be restored on your devices. This uses your Apple Account; M1N does not receive your Apple Account password or email address. We do not have access to other users' private iCloud records through our developer console.

M1N's iCloud archive excludes heart-rate measurements. Your analytics preference and random analytics identifier are not included in M1N's iCloud sync. Apple's device backups and other system services have their own settings and policies. Turning off iCloud sync stops future syncing; it does not erase an existing cloud copy. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete your iCloud data.

Apple Watch and Apple Health

M1N exchanges supported workouts and session information between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. If you enable Apple Health saving and grant permission, the Watch app uses HealthKit to record workouts and read heart rate during a session. Heart-rate summaries may appear in your local workout history. You can manage Health permissions and delete Health records using Apple's Health app.

M1N does not send HealthKit readings to TelemetryDeck, Google ads, or the workout-sharing website, and does not use them for advertising.

Workout links and exported files

When you choose Share Workout Link, M1N uploads a snapshot of the workout to our hosting provider, Vercel. The snapshot can include its name, exercises, timing, rounds, icons, and cue settings. Anyone with that link can view and import it, and recipients can forward it. Health readings and completed-workout history are not part of the shared snapshot.

Shared snapshots are retained until removed; editing or deleting your local workout does not update or remove an existing link. To request removal, email us with the link. Removal cannot erase copies that others have already downloaded. Exported files and images go to the apps or recipients you select, whose privacy practices then apply.

Optional usage analytics

TestFlight build 2.27 (10) offers optional usage analytics that is off by default. The next analytics update changes this to on by default for installations without a saved preference, while preserving an explicit off setting. That update narrows collection to the Premium purchase flow and removes workout-completion events. You can turn Share Usage Analytics off in Settings without losing any features. Until you install that update, your existing version keeps its existing behavior.

• In the next analytics update, events include measurement starting, viewing the Premium screen, and purchase attempts and outcomes. Build 10 also sends the first eligible completed iPhone workout when you opt in; that event is excluded from the next update, including unsent legacy events.
• Events include app version and build, a schema version, and the monthly, yearly, or lifetime plan when relevant. The next analytics update rounds event timestamps down to the hour on your device before transmission.
• A random installation identifier is hashed before transmission. It is not your name, email address, Apple Account identifier, or advertising identifier. TelemetryDeck further processes identifiers as described in its privacy documentation.
• Analytics events do not include workout names, exercises, notes, durations, heart-rate readings, payment details, transaction identifiers, or purchase receipts. Build 10’s opt-in first-completion event does indicate that an eligible workout was completed; the next update does not send workout activity.

We use these events for product analytics, not cross-app advertising or to identify you. Analytics is not required for free or paid features. Turning it off stops new collection and deletes unsent events on your device; it cannot recall events already delivered. Unsent events expire after 48 hours. TelemetryDeck states that it has no fixed deletion schedule for cold-storage analytics events and may retain analytics after an organization closes its account. A service-plan reporting window is not a promise of backend deletion. Contact us about available deletion options. Because we do not collect a name or email with events, we may be unable to locate an individual's events from an email request alone.

Advertising

Older iPhone builds, including TestFlight build 2.27 (10), contain and initialize Google Mobile Ads even though M1N does not currently display ad banners. The SDK and unused ad code have been removed from the upcoming replacement build. Installing that replacement removes this integration; it does not change older installed versions. Google's SDK may collect an IP address (including approximate location derived from it), device identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, crash information, performance information, and other diagnostics. Google uses these for ad delivery, advertising measurement, analytics, and service operation. Collection can depend on your device settings, permissions, and Google's configuration.

The Share Usage Analytics switch controls M1N's TelemetryDeck events only; it does not control Google's SDK in older versions, Apple services, or website hosting. M1N does not request precise location for ads or provide your workouts, notes, or Health readings to Google. Purchases, support, and website requests

Apple processes in-app payments. M1N uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to unlock or restore Premium. We do not receive your payment-card information. Apple provides sales reports through App Store Connect. If you enable usage analytics, the limited purchase events described above are also sent to TelemetryDeck.

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use it to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending sensitive workout or Health information unless necessary. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and follow-up, or meet legal obligations; you can ask us to delete it.

Vercel hosts our privacy, support, and workout-sharing pages. Hosting requests may involve IP addresses, request paths, browser information, timestamps, and operational logs used to deliver and secure the service. See Vercel's privacy policy. Apple services are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Your privacy choices

• Turn Share Usage Analytics on or off in M1N Settings. Your choice does not affect access to workouts or Premium.
• Manage iCloud sync in M1N Settings and stored iCloud data in your Apple device settings. Delete items while sync is enabled to sync supported deletions.
• Manage Apple Health access and records in the Health app or Apple device settings.
• Manage system tracking permissions in Apple device settings. This is separate from M1N's analytics switch.
• Contact mphunter4@gmail.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion, or to request removal of a shared workout link. Include the relevant link when requesting its removal.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over personal information, including objection, restriction, portability, or making a complaint to a privacy regulator. We will respond to applicable requests. Our providers may process information in other countries under their applicable safeguards. We use network encryption and provider access controls, but no storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

Children and policy updates

M1N is a general-audience fitness app and is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Material changes to optional collection will also be explained in the app before they take effect where required.
